SMOT Business school
SMOT, a newly launched business school has announced its admission open for its first year Post Graduate program in Management. Conceptualised to be a business school with a difference SMOT will be launching four main courses consisting of Finance, Marketing, Operation and Strategy and HR. The curriculum of the course is aimed to make the students job ready since it is based on the market requirements. Technologies, communications, information component in management are all included in the course material. The curriculum will enable the student to choose from 24 different career tracks. The school has two campuses one in Chennai and the other in Hyderabad with each campus built to accommodate 130 students each. The newly launched program is for duration of 16 months and the course is 4.3 lakhs which includes tuition fee, course material and books and also a palm top for the students. The candidates will be selected on the basis of a written test followed by a panel interview. SMOT plans to start also three other courses by 2008 like Executive Programs for working executives based out of Chennai and Hyderabad(24months duration), a program for executives based in Chennai or Hyderabad and accelerated program for students with very high IQ.
